Parapet walls and coping stones
This is the defining Balham roofing fault and the reason a lot of SW12 damp gets misdiagnosed as a roof leak. We waterproofed the coping stones and parapet wall on a Balham property for exactly this reason: water was entering at coping level, crossing the wall and appearing well below where it went in. On the Victorian and Edwardian stock here the copings are usually original, the joints are open, and there is frequently no damp proof course under the stone at all.
